Martinez is the final piece of the Fickell coaching puzzle

New Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell has added an impressive group of assistants to his staff and his final coaching spot is going to a decorated SEC veteran. Former Tennessee assistant Georgia defensive coordinator Willie Martinez will take the final spot on Fickell's first coaching staff.

Martinez joins Jon Tenuta and defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman as assistants on the defensive side of the ball with P5 defensive coordinator experience and rounding out the group is veteran defensive line coach Al Washington.

Martinez a former Miami Hurricane player has had 16 players drafted he has coached as a position coach and he has recruited the south as well as the Midwest during stints at Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan in the 1990s.
