BREAKING: Bearcats land Rivals250 S R.J. Potts

This weekend marked one month since Fickell was officially named the head coach at the University of Cincinnati. Since then, a lot has changed. The Bearcats latest commit is the number two recruit in the state of Indiana, and chose Cincinnati over other offers from Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Missouri among others.

Shortly before leaving the University after his official visit, Potts committed to the staff and got to work on getting some stuff done before announcing his commitment publicly.

Potts made the decision to commit to the Bearcats while on his visit.

"To be honest, I loved everything. I couldn't tell you a favorite part I had. The atmosphere was tremendous, the coaches were amazing, and so were the players. Everyone had a positive vibe."

Potts went into detail about what the coaches said to him during his visit.

"We touched base a little bit on football, but the main thing we discussed was building me as a man and preparing me for life after football, and the vision they have for this program and where it's headed."

Potts will be playing S at the next level and is extremely excited about the chance to play with fellow commit and 4-star Jarell White.

"I won't be taking any other visits, I am a Cincinnati Bearcat," Potts said shortly before announcing his commitment on Twitter.

Potts is the 2nd Four-star to commit since Coach Fickell took over, and the thirteenth commit overall for the Class of 2017. He plans on studying Sports Management at the University of Cincinnati.
