Harris Flips From Kentucky

On Oct. 13, Xenia (OH) three-star wide receiver Meechi Harris appeared to end his recruitment with a commitment to Kentucky. Just over two months later, that changed.

Tuesday, Harris reversed course when he announced his decommitment on Twitter. And on Wednesday, he gave his new allegiance (and national letter of intent) to Cincinnati.

Harris, Rivals.com's No. 87 wide receiver and No. 26 player in Ohio, becomes one of the Bearcats' top-ranked players in the 2018 signing class. He didn't announce his new choice, but Cincinnati athletics announced Wednesday afternoon it had received his letter of intent:

Harris officially visited Kentucky this past weekend, which made his new choice a bit of a surprise. He officially visited Cincinnati the previous weekend.

Harris has been reported with a 40-inch vertical and had 19 catches for 391 yards and four touchdowns this season. He also ran for another touchdown.

Harris' offers also included West Virginia, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, Rutgers and Minnesota.
