Kilpatrick tabbed for Midseason Watch List

Cincinnati's scoring leader, Sean Kilpatrick, earned a second Watch List recognition this week. Predominately included for his scoring prowess Kilpatrick ranks amongst the Top 25 players in the nation, placing him on the John R. Wooden Midseason Watch List.

Past winners of the Wooden Award include Kenyon Martin, Marcus Camby, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, David Robinson and Larry Bird.

Kilpatrick ranks fourth in the BIG EAST Conference in scoring, averaging 17.7 points. The native of Yonkers, N.Y. also ranks fifth in the league with 2.31 three-pointers per game. He has scored in double figures in 15 of 16 UC games this season. Named a preseason first team All-BIG EAST selection by the league's coaches, Kilpatrick has won weekly honors from the conference four times this season, including player of the week accolades on Nov. 26.

As plain as Kilpatrick's scoring abilities are the statistic that defines basketball players should always be wins.

And SK wins with the best of them.

Closing in on 90 career games played Kilpatrick has won 73.9% of the time. Considering how arduous the climb back to relevance was for UC fans and Head Coach Mick Cronin this level of winning is absolutely the best of the century and rivals the greatest UC players of All-Time.

For instance, Kenyon Martin carries a remarkable 82.0% winning percentage at UC into the NBA. Though the road is tough Kilpatrick plans to win many more games in the coming months and provide his beloved fanbase with two deep tournament runs.

The following chart clarifies the entire list of Wooden Award candidates. Doug McDermott and Isaiah Canaan landed on the final 2012 Men's Wooden Award All-American Team. To be clear
