BIG EAST CONFERENCE FOOTBALL WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS

BIG EAST OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Gary Nova • So. • QB • Rutgers • Elmwood Park, N.J.

Nova helped Rutgers improve to 4-0 with the best performance of his career in the Scarlet Knights' 35-26 win at Arkansas. He completed 25 of 35 passes for 397 yards and five touchdowns against the Razorbacks, establishing career highs in completions, yards and touchdown passes. He threw three touchdown passes in the second half, including two that answered Arkansas scoring drives. Nova has helped Rutgers to its first 4-0 start since the 2006 season.

BIG EAST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Adrian Bushell • Sr. • CB • Louisville • DeSoto, Texas

Bushell helped Louisville remain unbeaten with his effort in the Cardinals' 28-21 win at Florida International. He had a team-high seven tackles to go with 0.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup to lead a defense that held the Golden Panthers to 326 yards of offense and 198 passing yards.

BIG EAST SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Brandon McManus • Sr. • K/P • Temple • Hatfield, Pa.

McManus earns BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week honors for the second time this season following his performance in the Owls' 24-13 loss at Penn State. He scored seven points, making field goals of 33 and 42 yards, and averaged 48.5 yards on six punts against the Nittany Lions. McManus leads the BIG EAST in scoring (9.0 points per game) and has made a school-record 52 career field goals.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Teddy Bridgewater • So. • QB • Louisville • Miami, Fla.

Completed 19 of 36 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-21 win at Florida International.

Mike Shanahan • Sr. • WR • Pittsburgh • North Huntingdon, Pa.

Had five receptions for a career-high 144 yards with two touchdowns in a 55-10 win against Gardner-Webb.

B.J. Daniels • Sr. • QB • USF • Tallahassee, Fla.

Completed 19 of 30 passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns and had 75 rushing yards on 14 carries for 387 yards of total offense in a 31-27 loss at Ball State.

Siriki Diabate • Sr. • LB • Syracuse • Bronx, N.Y.

Had a game- and career-high 10 tackles with 0.5 tackles for loss in a 17-10 setback at Minnesota.

Alec Lemon • Sr. • WR • Syracuse • Crofton, Md.

Had nine receptions for 106 yards in a 17-10 loss at Minnesota. Set Syracuse's career receptions record (145).
