Washington impresses on camp circuit

Fort Bend (TX) Marshall annually produces quite a few Division I recruits and this year will be no different. Cornerback Toney Hurd Jr. and linebacker/defensive end Lowell Williams are the senior headliners, but head coach Daryl Phipps has a wealth of talent in his junior class as well.

Leading the way is running back Deandre Washington. The 5-foot-9, 178-pound class of 2011 prospect has had some very solid performances at recent combines and camps. He was recently the most impressive back, regardless of class, at the Houston NIKE Camp. This past Friday, he attended the Rivals Five-Star Academy in Round Rock and felt he performed well.
