Has SU offered Winston?

A couple moth ago Evan Winston thought he was on the verge of a Syracuse offer. Time has passed and the Orange are still interested, but have they offered the 6-foot-4, 240 pound prospect?

"We made progress talking about an offer and they said they want to offer me. They want me to come to camp so that they can checkout my frame to see if I can add weight and still be mobile."

Does the Michigan product have a problem waiting for the Orange staff to check on him before they offer?

"It is no big deal to me and I will make my way to New York sometime and we will see what is in the best interest for me and my family."

In the last two months not only is Syracuse looking at him, but a lot of other programs including one Big Ten school that just offered.

"Recruiting has picked up in the last couple of months. I have received a few more offers and I received my first Big Ten offer last week from Iowa."

Winston feels that the Hawkeye's are recruiting him harder than all other schools at this point.

"I would say the team recruiting me the hardest is Iowa. They made a legit offer and I have talked with the coaching staff. Not only is the coaching staff great as coaches, but also as people."

As of now Winston has made a few visits and he intends on taking a few more in the coming months.

"I have been to Michigan, Central Michigan, and Michigan State. I am probably going to head back to Michigan State for one more spring practice," Winston said. "There are a few visits want to make. I am going to make a trip to Illinois, Purdue, Iowa, and Louisville."

A time for a decision has not been set yet and it does not look like Winston will commit to a school anytime soon.

"I do not have a timeline for a commitment."
