Wood will make decision known Friday

Lately three-star defensive end Kameron Wood has been bombarded with questions about which school he will choose.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder from Birmingham, Ala., has narrowed his list down to Mississippi State and Ole Miss and will reveal his decision at John Carroll's Green and White Sports Kickoff on Friday.

"I'm pretty much just waiting on (Friday) to get here," Wood said. "I'm just ready to go ahead and get this over with. I wanted to do it that day because everybody from John Carroll will be there and they will be able to see. I think that will be a good day to do it."

The decision has actually been made for quite some time for Wood but he has remained silent as to which one of his finalist he will pick.

"It really hasn't been hard to keep it quiet," Wood said. "People have been asking and I just tell them August 13th. It does get a little annoying with people just asking and asking but I'm just keeping my head up until it's over. Me, my dad, my mom are the only ones that know. The coaches at my school are thinking one school but I'm actually not going to pick that school."

Wood also has offers from Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Memphis, South Alabama, Troy, Southern Miss and UAB. But there are several aspects that stand out between the Egg Bowl rivals for the John Carroll star.
