Cowboys Offered Horn Teammates
Wyoming's Dave Christensen and his staff continues to work Mesquite, Texas for future Cowboys and have apparently offered five teammates from Horn High School, the same school that produced incoming UW freshmen quarterback Emory Miller.
Defensive Tackle Blake Pruitt, a 6-foot-2 and 270 pounder received the most recent offer from Christensen's staff.
The Pokes have also offered two Horn High School wide receivers in speedster Jakeem Grant and Jacory Shepherd, defensive end Stephon Sanders and linebacker Kyle Boyd.
While Shephered has committed to Iowa, the Cowboys are still in the mix for Jakeem Grant, a receiver small in stature but possessed high level quickness.
Grant has several offers on the table from the Cowboys, CSU, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico, and Wake Forest.
"Louisiana Tech, Wyoming and Wake Forest, I love those schools," Grant told Rivals.com. "Louisiana Tech, I like the offense that they run. They run the same offense as us, the spread offense. They run wide receiver reverses and stuff like that. Wyoming has a great program and they also have our quarterback (Emory Miller from this year going up there that I have chemistry with. With Wake Forest, I watch their games and stuff on T.V."
Grant has impressed with his track times when he clocked a 10.3 in the 100 meters this spring. He also clocked a 21.7 in the 200. The University of Wyoming would be open to him running track.
"Wyoming, they said I can come down there and play track and play football too," Grant said. "Texas Tech, they sent me a letter about track too."
Boyd has received two offers to-date from Iowa State and Wyoming, while the UW staff would like to get him in for a visit before he commits.
