UCLA hot on the trail for offensive linemen

It is obvious with Xavier Su'a Filo off on his LDS mission, the retirement due to injury to Nik Abele and with five seniors, who will be expected to add, at the very least, depth to the position this fall, the offensive line has become an area that the Bruins will have to make a high priority.

To prove the point UCLA has given out eight new offers over the last few weeks to address this need. BruinBlitz.com will look at these eight.

Marcus Martin (6-4, 349, 5.2) Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw

Offers: UCLA and Washington.

Skinny: This is a great and inspired offer by UCLA. The upside of Martin is off the charts. He really balled out at the NIKE Camp held in Los Angeles last month. He plays with a nasty attitude, hence the nickname "Big Pancake". UCLA was his favorite school growing up so hopefully that will help. Another thing to consider, both UCLA and Washington have been ahead of the curve on many players this recruiting season. With both schools offering Martin is just another example of being a step ahead.
