Redmond to complete junior day tour at MSU

Mississippi State commitment Nick Redmond caused a bit of a stir over the past few weeks by visiting junior days at both Ole Miss and Alabama without making a trek to Starkville.

The Bulldogs first commitment of 2011 merely wanted to be able to compare the other two programs when he visits MSU on March 27 for their junior day.

"The only two (junior days) I've went to is Ole Miss and Alabama," Redmond said. "I could tell that Ole Miss wanted me a lot and their place is nice. I like their indoor practice facility but I haven't really seen State's yet so I can't really say what is the norm. At Alabama, you know they've got nice stuff over there."

Redmond attended several games at Davis Wade Stadium last season but hopes to a better overall look at the campus during the Bulldogs second junior day.

"I'm just looking forward to seeing what facilities they have like the weight room," Redmond said. "I want them to take me on a tour like everybody else does. The two schools I've been to really puts a lot into tutoring their athletes."

The 6-foot-5, 312-pounder from Gulport, Miss., could be making a return trip to Starkville on April 17 for Super Bulldog Weekend to watch his future teammates play in the spring game.
