In-state standout receiving interest
Collins Moore was one of the state's top players in 2009.
UAB thought so.
The Blazers were ready to sign the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Moore in February. One problem; he was just a junior.
"They wanted to sign me as a free safety," said Moore. "They thought I was a senior."

In '09, he caught 50 passes for 1,057 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also added four more touchdowns on punt and interception returns. He helped lead Bob Jones to an 11-2 record, a trip to the 6A state quarterfinals.
Now, UAB has company.
