Brown picks up offer
Things are picking up in a hurry for Winton Woods athlete Dominqiue Brown. The star of the Warriors run to the state title received some big news on Thursday night. The recent addition to the Rivals 250 added another to his total.
It was a good news day for Brown. The 6-foot-3 and 210 pound athlete got the new score back from his ACT, and apparently it was what he was looking for. After hearing from coaches that they were waiting on his test score to issue an offer, Brown got some news he was looking for.
The Ohio State Buckeyes informed Brown that he now has an offer. The Buckeyes had up to this point said that they were simply waiting on his academics in order to extend the offer.
Brown was informed of the offer by his head coach, Troy Everhart, and he informed Rivals.com's Tim Adams that he was excited that the Buckeyes indeed decided to extend an official offer.
Getting the offer from Ohio State is the second official offer that Brown has. Also he has a full ride sitting on the table from the University of Cincinnati. Brown originally committed to the Bearcats, but has since re-opened his recruitment after Brian Kelly decided to depart the program and take the head job at Notre Dame.
To go along with Ohio State and Cincinnati, Brown also has interest from Louisville, Hawaii, Georgia Tech, and others.
Brown played quarterback this season for Winton Woods, and while the Bearcats and Yellow Jackets are making a run at him to play that position, Ohio State is saying that he will get his first crack at slot receiver.
Along with the adding of an offer, Brown also was named as a four-star prospect and the number 193 player overall. Brown is listed as an athlete by Rivals.com. On the season Brown ran for 1,998 yards and 32 touchdowns. He also threw for 723 yards and seven touchdowns.
