On ESPNU Andy Katz came on and addressed the future addition of Memphis basketball to Big East. Katz rattled off seven teams expected to be powers and completely bypassed Cincinnati. Ridiculous.
He said Memphis Coach Josh Pastner sees this as a new Big East, not exactly the same with Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and West Virginia leaving. Then Andy added his own view that Memphis would be able to compete with the likes of Georgetown, Villanova, Marquette, Notre Dame, Louisville, and Connecticut.
Laughable that Cincinnati was completely overlooked. Coach Cronin's program apparently doesn't have the sex appeal Katz covets.
