October 19, 2001 UC Media Relations Talk about it in the Message Boards University of Cincinnati senior Immanuel McElroy suffered a stress fracture in his left foot which will keep him sidelined or the next several basketball practices. The 6-4 forward incurred the injury to the fifth metatarsal during Thursday's practice. He has been placed on crutches and restricted from any activity which would involve placing weight on the injured foot until Monday, at which time his status will be reevaluated. McElroy is one of three Bearcat returning starters. He averaged 7.0 points and 3.3 rebounds last season.
