Byers back from Oregon visit
As national signing day closes in on the college football world many prospects are still trying to take last minute trips and make decisions that will impact the rest of their lives. For the Oregon Ducks the list of prospective student athletes is getting smaller and smaller as the number of available scholarships is decreased due to the recent swell of commitments.
One position that the Ducks are trying to shore up is the defensive line and this past weekend they hosted 6-foot-4, 262 pound defensive end Roderick Byers out of Rock Hill, SC. Duck Sports Authority caught up with Byers to get his thoughts on his trip to Eugene.
"It was pretty much what I expected," Byers said. "Pretty state of the art. It didn't feel like it was far away. It's not all that different. It's different but not too different to where I didn't want to go. It kind of reminded me of home in its own little way."
