Ford comtemplating Aggie offer
Kirbyville High School has had one of the most successful football programs in the state the past two years, making an appearance in consecutive 2A State Finals. Although the east Texas powerhouse began the season with a 1-2 record, the Cobras bounced back to go 12-3 thanks to a heavy dosage of 2011 running back LaFrederick Ford.
Ford gained the attention of the coaches at Texas A&M after rushing for more than 2,500 yards and 35 touchdowns his junior season.. Recently offered by the Aggies, Ford is a candidate to take what is expected to be A&M's lone running back slot in the 2011 class.
The 6-foot, 190-pound back has a scholarship offer from Texas A&M and is also receiving attention from Lamar, Stephen F. Austin and Oklahoma State.
